Thanks for visiting! May I recommend my fourth novella, What the Soul Still Fears?
It's a creepy examination of what might happen if modern scientists got their hands on ancient occult secrets that actually turned out to be true. How far would they dig before prudence stopped them? Would it already be too late?
Consider this question: Have you ever jumped at a moth or something similarly harmless? Your brain is conditioned from before birth to treat some shapes and movements as dangers, and you might know how much mental effort is required to overcome those tendencies!
What if there was something so old and so terrifying that it came before even the evolution of your brain? Such terrors might be said to affect the very soul itself.
What the Soul Still Fears follows Arthur Barstow, eminent psychologist and neurologist, and his old friend Luca Pellegrino, noted physicist, as they explore something that goes beyond the Standard Model, and maybe has existed longer, too.
The story is my homage to Lovecraft's great At the Mountains of Madness.
What the Soul Still Fears is available at a variety of e-book sellers.
